Lowell Tibbs spent fourteen years installing doors for a regional dealer before he bought a used box truck in 2011 and started taking spring calls himself. The work he knew. What bothered him was how many people were quoted one price on the phone and another in the driveway.
So Steadyrise started with a simple promise: say the flat price first, show up inside the window, and never start work nobody agreed to. Fifteen years and 21,400 doors later, it is still the first thing we teach a new technician.
Today there are eleven of us, six trucks and a showroom on L Street where we stock springs, cut cables and hang sample doors you can open yourself.
